91 Carrera 4 Cab third brake light housing
The third brake light housing on my cab has broken and I would like to replace it with something that looks better. I see an aerofoil bridge/spoiler that may work but I live in North Carolina and it sells from the UK so a bit unsure if this is really the best option. Suggestions?

Right above the spoiler on this car I believe it actually came on 993s
bad thing about it the holes were drilled thru deck lid to mount it I think it’s referred to as a basket handle

The 993 basket handle that John posted works if you don’t mind drilling your deck to mount it. Also, you can buy a stainless “plug” kit to cover the holes from your old one. If it were me, I would just buy a new 964 third brake light, I like it much better than the basket handle and I wish mine still had the original ET.

Go stock....

If you change to an RS America or other fixed tail, you can have an LED strip incorporated into the base of the tail. Otherwise, I agree with the other posters that it’s best to stay with the stock “ET Head” third brake light. I don’t think that the 993 bread basket is an aesthetic improvement at all, although it was a somewhat popular mod when 964s were a few years old.

Thank you all for your feedback! I have really struggled in my area w finding a trusting mechanic or bodyshop expert to work on Hans. With that being told, I am hesitant to have new drillings put into my deck lid and worry about plugging the original holes properly too. Guess I am back to the drawing board and just going to go with original replacement then. Thanks again )
