I like both... don't know if I would like them mixed in one car.
At the end of the day it will not drive like a 964 and will not drive like a 997.
And if it's not aircooled it would seem wrong anyway... at least to me.

And refering to 15 years old 997 technique as "modern" is a bit of a stretch!
Nope! Does not float my boat!

Very interesting build! they should left the 964 suspension and maybe fortify it as close to a Cup Car set up and while they're at it use the 997 tt set up. At the end of the day it's just an Outlaw build and should not cost tons of money. It should feel like a 964 only with tons of mojo.

So it's a 997 with 964 skin? What's the point of that?
The 964 has always been a bit funny-looking. Neither classic nor modern. We love them despite of their looks because of how they drive.

Why!!! There are so many things you can do to a 964 to improve upon it that making it water cooled is expensive and defeats what an air-cooled is all about. I can add traction control and other features along with increasing power for probably far less then this would cost to build. With the new stand alone ICU's available the sky and you bank account are the limit to what can be done.

Well I kinda like it... sorta.
I've been the steward of a 996, 991.1 and now the 964. I always thought my "dream car" would be a 991.1 (with MT6 and lower gearing) compressed into a 964 style package. But somehow keep the infotainment/navigation/PDCC/PSM/SC/PSE/OBC/FAL etc.......

Looks like a render to me (some of the wheels w/ reflections are identical). They say there's a Panamera nav unit, sure doesn't look like it. Anyway.

The renders on the website date to when they announced the project and both the interior shot and the rear 3/4 shot scream bad photoshop. To be clear, I'm not saying it's vaporware and I don't know enough about Ares aside from their Pantera/Lambo mashup to really say anything good or bad about them one way or the other, but the photos provided are not the real deal. Don't think it's nefarious, just marketing hype

Damn, and here I was thinking I might be able to come up on a radio I can actually read the text on too!
