Default removal of automatic lifting rear wing

is it possible to change out the rear wing to one that isn't motorized and doesn't raise up at whatever it is...75 or 80 kms...is this necessary for stability or motor cooling? the pre- 964's didn't move...and i have a cracked frame that needs fixing, seems a common problem when the gearing is not lubed or cared for properly...

I know that you can replace both the engine cover and tail, as in the thread just a bit further down: https://rennlist.com/forums/964-foru...rera-tail.html

There was just a thread pointing out a lid & tail from an RS America recently; it was a pointer to a Craigslist posting in Illinois.

However, if you want to keep your metal engine lid and simply remove the mechanicals and install a fixed wing then I suspect you need to go to the aftermarket fiberglass parts. I'm sure you can find threads here going back a few years. Search for Getty Designs or TechArt. Others can add other names.

Not very hard to do at all. Just a few bolts and a connector.
