It was offered as an optional color for MY 89-90 so technically not extremely rare but from what I can tell it’s not common either. Over the past two years I’ve seen maybe 5 - 6 964’s in this color. I’ve seen a few G Body cars in the color also and I’m not sure when they originally started offering the color.

AFAIK it was only offered in 1989 on the 928 and 3.2's and in 89-90 on the 964's. L693 I have only seen a few myself.

I’ll add that it’s a great color. My car appears to have original paint and the color does a great job of hiding the chips and light scratches that one would expect from a car with 72k miles. They’re all there but not nearly as visible as they would be on a different color which gives the paint an always fresh look. It also has a pearl hue in certain light which I love.

+964. I just love how "clean" my old slate grey car looked after a weekend of back road driving in the mountains.
