Default Is Idle control valve – ICV supposed to move???

Hello,

Looking around for some information to clean the ICV I found this video on which apparently, the ICV is supposed to move. Is this correct?

Mine does not move.

Thanks,

This thread may help. https://rennlist.com/forums/964-foru...n-valve-3.html

The valve moves when you place voltage across the plug. You need 12v to get a good movement. Maybe better these days to buy the Aliexpress knock off for cents on the dollar.

Yup there are moving internal parts.
I freed mine up with a liberal squirt of carb cleaner.

Happy idle now.

Fwiw. I use electronics cleaner to clean them. The mechanism in there is an electro magnetic winding - and the fluid you spray in will get up in that area. So i switched since having taken one apart and gotten a good look at the internals.
