Default Engine Mounts.......

When I put Engine Mounts in the search function, a zillion threads come up. I'm probably pretty pathetic when it comes to using the search function properly. For that, I am sorry.

I need new mounts, what I have now are sagging. I'd like mounts that are sporty but not harsh. I see some DE's in my future but mainly sporty weekend drives. This comment on the WEVO site leaves me wondering if they're too stiff....... "An ideal compromise between the harshness of solid mounts and the cost of the factory RS mounts." The Rennline Tunable Semi-Solids have my attention, but are they a gimmick? Hear the factory 993 mounts are great.

What's a proven, reliable mount that should be suitable for my application?

I appreciate your suggestions.

Hey John. What do you like about them? Have you messed around with the different bushings?

It's funny......... there is a Rennline advertisement right above the reply box that shows their engine mount.

Get the softer wevo or the softer Rennline, you'll like them fine. Don't change the transmission mount unless you like noise.

I have the Wevo Black mounts, installed them recently, and it has a little more vibration and sound from the old stock ones I had in there but overall, not that big a difference. Sporty is how I like to describe them.

With Wevo, the black pillows are softer.
For rennline, don't get the solid mounts. Get the tunable mounts and use whatever inserts are softer.

I liked the look and the price. My cars mounts when I first got it were totally shot bad tires and just maybe a slight tweak to a wheel. I didn’t hardly drive it so I really don’t have any thing to compare to. With the Rennline mount you get 3 sets of inserts and I understand you can mix and match them meaning you can say put the hardest or track insert at the bottom position and the middle hardness insert in the top position giving you a different feel.

Hope they work for you.
I don't like mine at all. Way to much noise and vibration.
Would do RS next time: Part #: 964-375-043-81-M100

+1 for RS mounts. Just make sure your carrier is reinforced.

Has anyone tried the O.E.M. brand RS style mounts? They're cheaper than Factory RS mounts, so I wonder if they're worth putting on for the value.
