I like the clear indicators but I have to admit they are a bit "brighter" than I'd like. The stock clear fog light has a silver backing behind the lens, but the aftermarket corners have a white backing, so it's not a perfect match. With the brake ducts I've added I think it looks ok, but if I were to put the fog lights back in, I'd put back the orange markers.

Take them apart, paint the insides, silicone back together. Looks perfect.

Agreed. I saw Kricci's when he painted his and they look amazing! I plan to do that when i get a set but might go for a lighter silver as to not be to dark

Tempting...but I'm also having flashbacks to how much of a PITA it was to install those things. Not sure I want to take them out again. You're right though, it would look way better.

My experience might differ from others because I think I was sold duds...the fitment was just way off. We literally had to sand down parts of the housing to make it fit in it's spot, and even then it was very difficult to get properly into place/flush.

Oh yeah that would definitely put me off from messing with it for sure.

It's really not that dark.. I used Rust-oleom 'Dark Steel' Metallic Paint & primer in one. I wanted it darker but it was still lighter than I expected. I think Kricci used a lighter shade if you look at his thread.

Oh he's a good friend of mine so i saw it in person. Could be my eyes as they're old and worn but it seemed dark LOL

WIth the original white backings, when I put them on my black car they were so bright they were glowing. Looked horrible.

Spring is approaching so figured I'm due for an update. Sport seats are installed and a major improvement...more comfortable, better grip, and much better looking. The G pipe lasted for all of 20 minutes - I drove it home then promptly brought it back to the shop the next morning to put the 2nd muffler back on. Turns out I already have a primary muffler bypass (cup pipe) and didn't even realize it (installed by the prev owner)....adding the 2nd bypass on top of that essentially straight piped the car and made it unbearable. Next step will be trying to find a stock primary muffler and try the G pipe in combination with that, then will see what I like better.
Just got the car back from my local Porsche dealership where it received it's spring service (which was not friendly to the wallet this year). Oil change with Porsche classic motor oil, 4 new Michelin PS2 tires, brake fluid, and tidied up rear brakes a bit. There is something very satisfying to having the car freshened up for the season though. My detailer is coming to do a proper paint correction and paint coating on the cars Monday, then it'll be time to hit the road. The 911 also has a new garage mate...my new 1986 944 Turbo. Clearly I have a thing for red Porsche's from the '80s.

Congrats on the 944, that’s two awesome cars! Just in time for spring on the 964, now to put some miles on her....

Had I know you already had a primary muffler delete I would have never suggested getting the G pipe!!! Man that must have been loud!!!! If I were you, I’d just leave the primary bypass in place ( larger weight savings than the g pipe) and run the factory secondary muffler
