Default Suspension upgrade help

Hi everyone - I've managed to confuse myself (a common problem) while beginning to reassemble the front suspension of my 964 C2.

I am using new suspension (MCS), new brakes (Brembo GT), and 18" wheels.

I'm having a conceptual issue as it relates to the length of the tie rods. The parts I'm trying to use are:
9M uprights
Tarett Engineering inner tie rods (for 964)
993 outer tie rods (993.347.031.81)
Manual steering rack

I've read numerous times that the tie rods need to be shortened. It isn't clear to me that the parts I have can be shortened enough to make this work. See enclosed pictures. I appreciate everyone's considered assistance.

I think you have the wrong inner tierods as they should be for a 993. I just went though this when upgrading to BBI uprights. The entire system should be 993 specific.

Aha! you were correct. The inner 964 tie rod is a 993 tie rod with an extension. Not exactly meant to be removed, but I welded a bar to the piece I wasn't using to get additional leverage to remove. I'm not sure if I've ever seen that much loctite!

Problem solved...
