Oil lines- If I go with areoquip...
One of my lines is shot:
The cooler end needs some adapters- but what to do with the end that goes on the metal pipe if going with AN stuff? What other options are there aside from the unbelievably expensive stock line?

Looks like one of yours was replaced and the other is original.
Get the Parker 213-16 hose I mention in my thread. It is the closest to original...and what Elephant Racing sells....

Also Pete, there is a source for metric thread ends that are made for AN hose...so no adapters needed...
I don't have it here w me at the moment but if you email me I'll shoot you the link. They sell the fittings and the hose and the tools...one stop shop!

Finding a source (hydraulic line repair shop) was the biggest challenge for me. Most shops won't cater to these little jobs. Ended up using his fitting as the Cohline ones I sourced didn't fit his crimping machine....close enough.

I did Aeroquip hose and fittings on my car. Used adapters and metric fittings. Bought hose and fittings and made the hose assembly’s in shop. Just follow the simple instructions. Make sure you get hose length right. But, very easy to do.

Good information here. Thankfully I don't have any leaks, but will be saving this for later. Gus, did you put the fittings and the hose together or did you take it somewhere?

Just heard back from elephant- $23 per fitting and $11 per foot of hose. So probably under $200 plus 2xshipping (which in my case would be probably another $200) for the front set. Wonder if they can do fuel lines as well?

I put hose and fittings together. Follow instructions and is real easy - will need some large wrench’s as AN 12s are pretty big. Also need a good vice to cut hose and hold fittings while tightening. Need to make sure you tight to proper clearance without hose slipping backwards out of fitting. (Mark with masking tape to see if slips). Oh! Make sure to tape hose over cut area to hold steel wire in place so it will slide into fitting easy.

If you have a shop make you the lines with the elephant parts- make sure they "clock" the fittings exactly as the oem lines- or the one that goes from the filter housing to the thermostat will be a bear...

AeroEquip Hose -
I am attaching some pictures of the aeroequip hose set up that I did when I changed over all my oil lines from oil filter to tank and from hard line to the oil cooler. I even replaced the short hard line at the tank. I was really lucky when I got the Aeroequip lines and fittings as at that time we had a full Aeroequip shop near ATL airport that stocked a full line of all Aeroequip fittings and adapters. Since then they have cut back on parts stocked. But here are pictures of the lines I installed with adapters. Adapters can be obtained from various places on line now - Will post additional pictures following this post -

So there is the difference that I didn’t notice before. Your metal piping has threaded fittings and mine has the hose crimped directly to the pipe. Did you add those or are they stock. I can’t see any other way to attach the hose using AN stuff other than with hose clamps- which is what I’ve done for a temp fix. FWIW one of my buddies has been running his car for years now with hose clamps. How much pressure are these lines under anyway?
Man my car looks so dirty!
