Great pics, thanks for posting!
Like everything else at Rennsport I was surprised at some of the rare 964’s. Here’s are two that stood out.....

Thanks for the awesome pics guys!
I must do more reading on the 964 ... I had no idea they made a Carrera Cup. Had to look it up.
Does anyone know if this was a non-Euro model?

Yes, that specific car was supposed to be a US Cup car, they were sold as carrera cup and converted back to street cars when the series was cancelled. Keeping all the good parts. They are, effectively, an RS.

Hey guys, fun fact but with all the snobbiness on coupés and the odd targa, the real deal was to show up at Rennsport with a 964 cab! Did not see any other, too bad I could not get corral parking.
Of course there were other interesting ones

This non metallic blue (maybe meer or dunkle blau?) widebody caught my eye in the paddock - think it was only there on Friday... No sunroof, 4.0 badge on the grille, alcantara interior... Cool car. Anyone know more about it - had a Florida plate.
Also liked this RS tribute in the corral - I believe it is granite green.
Quite a few Ruf's scattered around too.

Thank you "Marine Blue" for noticing my car. I'm thrilled my car was so well received and appreciated. Before leaving for Rennsport, I printed and laminated a copy of the original window sticker, as well as writing a quick story about these rare cars. I taped them to the inside of both the passenger and drivers side windows. I felt it was important to inform my fellow Porschephiles about the car while it rested amongst it's siblings in the 964 corral parking lot. I don't often get a chance to show the car and rarely if ever see another one up close and personal. I created a post several months ago requesting that any and all USA Edition 964 Cup cars gather at Rennsport, but didn't get any replies. I'm not certain, but I think I was the only USA Cup present at Rennsport VI. My car is one of four spares sent to Andial, which was dyno'd and sealed, as well as suspension tuned for the upcoming race series that never happened. Aside from the "Euro RS" Recaro seats, and primary muffler bypass pipe, my car remains 100% original (including the paint). For those interested in learning more about these rare cars, please don't hesitate to contact me for more information. Happy Motoring friends!!

I swear that the sun @ Laguna Seca plays tricks with your eyes... I'm a lover of slate grey metallic but was positive that your car had more green in it! A friend of mine once bought a 993 thinking it was slate grey only to later find it was granite green.
Beautiful car, regardless - one of, if not the best in the RRVI corral.
