Default WTB Classic Audio Sytem

Looking to upgrade my audio system but want the classic look. Has anyone tried the "Porsche Classic Radio Navigation"?

Plenty of people have. its expensive, the screen is smaller than any common phone and the navi system is not as good as the one on your phone. There are other period correct looking choices for 1/10th the cost.

The continental stereos look nice and are reasonably priced too.

I have a blaupunkt now, but am looking for a CR1 to buy.

I have a continental is both my air cooled cars and love it. Looks perfect and has the amber back lighting. Has a Bluetooth connection which is all I really needed.

+1 and for the price I couldn't be happier. Probably the only sub $100 964 order I have ever made

I have the classic radio on my 993 and love it. I really just wanted it for a period correct look and bluetooth. Navigation is nice, but the screen is awfully small. I'm usually just using waze and the audio prompts via bluetooth. If my battery is low or I can't get an internet connection, I'll use the classic radio's navigation and it works well. The only negative aspect of this system is the price.

100% this. Really only bought it because it looks the part, and has BT. Not a huge fan of the nav, but have used it a couple of times. Strongly prefer Waze though.

They offer a couple versions none under $100 bucks, more like $189. Still inexpensive for a bluetooth radio. I have seen them on eBay for $130 or so I am just not so thrilled about sending money to Latvia and crossing my fingers.

I was going to switch out my Blaupunkt for the Continental until I read this below, has anyone here experienced this?

@Trader220, Tor is not in Latvia. He is in Norway. I've bought a few things form him before. No issues, fast shipping. I'm about to order a Continental from him. A friend of mine, here in WA, collaborated with him on a harness for his 968. The guy is pretty well known in the 993 world.
