Default Tip vs Manual pedal boxes - converting

Looking at pictures of pedal boxes on ebay - it occurred to me that the tip uses the same "bones" as the manual. You can guy a manual pedal by itself. Has anyone made a list of the parts to convert a tip setup to manual? Looking online, the pedal itself is listed as 89-91 96442307702 and then another part number for 92-94 96542307700.

I know there are a lot more parts but many of these need refurb anyway, so since I'm starting with a tip setup, maybe I'll end up with all new/refurbed parts for the cost of a worn out manual setup?

Found these pics that shows a splined section on the 92-94. Is that an upgrade? Since I need to buy everything else, should I just end up with the later stuff?

Are you trying to swap out the tip pedal cluster for a manual without changing the transmission??? If so, why?

Of course not - this is just one parts of many when converting to a manual. I just want to know if I need to buy the entire pedal box or if I can obtain the pieces to convert my existing one.

Jeff,

Yes, the pedal console mounts for the tip and manual are one and the same. Part # 964-423-065-04.

I just finished refurbishing my pedal box. Here’s a photo with a few of the critical part numbers.

FYI Porsche no longer has the clutch sleeves in stock (part # 964-423-069-00). I had to use one of their 965 turbo sleeves and milled it down to size.

Good luck, interesting project.

Jim

Clutch bearing sleeve marked 964

But the part inside is actually the turbo 965 version. You will not find any 964 sleeves available, but can kill this down to size
