Default Update on progress

Hi everyone, the bodywork is completely done.

I got 16" Fuchs on the car not sure how those are gonna look once I get the car moving. Till I get more money to import 17" or 18" Fuchs, do you recommend any other rims? That are not to expensive on the pocket but are just as good looking as Fuchs?

I'm just trying to get as much money as I can to fund the buying of spares.

I found out the gearbox is a g50/02 transmission, this should be compatible with my 1990 M64 engine right?

On the upside I do have a flywheel and full clutch.

The downside I do need the Bolts for the flywheel to clutch and transmission to engine
clutch fork
clutch rod
Clutch slave cylinder
Clutch master cylinder
Engine mounts for the M64 3.6L engine

Is there anything else I need to get the engine and gearbox in to the car?

Currently working on making a frame so I can rotate the car and paint it the body and the undercarriage finally I'm going with guards red on the car.

That's how the 16" Fuchs rims looks on the 930J suspension with with the turbo spacers

Default Project update

Hi everyone so I got a few parts the other day cost me and arm and a leg. So got the oil lines sorted out and also the oil cooler, thermostat and even the oil filter holder.

Was hoping to marry the transmission with the engine but two issues came up so my g50 transmission is limited slip version and also the 1987 model I believe so the clutch rod I got is for the later model being 19mm the housing on the transmission for the clutch rod is 16mm, where can I get the correct clutch fork and rod for the first generation g50 rather then doing modifications for the update clutch kit.

Also quick question this is the m64 engine so how many sensors come on the crankcase sensor bracket for this model I believe it's a dual mass flywheel.

I am confused. So you are using an earlier G50/02 which AFAIK is the 3.2 Swiss transmission used between 87-89. I am assuming you are talking the guide tube? There are 2 lengths one for dual mass clutch and a longer one for single mass. You will need the RS throw out bearing & guide tube the release fork will be the same for either vs the shorter tube and throw out bearing for the dual mass. I would inspect the old release fork and check for wear. These have a tendency to get misshapen and affect the clutch engagement. I try to use new if possible. Has the nose cone been switched for the longer trans length and tunnel mounting?

It is a bit confusing, but the OP is updating a 1984 G-body Carrera with 964 bodywork and 964 engine

Too many threads subscribed to. I need to go back to the beginning sometimes I get confused which thread I am responding to. I thought this was a different thread.
