My C4 is "dark blue" (L347), but it looks almost identical to Emilios' car in color! Can anyone tell me what is the difference? I seem to think Pzull may have resprayed his car this color, but am too lazy to do a search (2 minutes late for a meeting already as well!)
Cheers,

Hello forklift

Brake vents came with the car. I am nor sure but I think they are from Germany. At the present moment they make no difference for brake cooling. Only better cooling for the oil. Will fix the hoses for the brakes in a month.

I don't have any pics, but I am a huge fan of the Fiskes. That is as long as you don't mind spending time cleaning them. They are a pain to keep clean. Best wishes - Jay Gratton

Et tu Brute???

You know, Howard - it's taken me several MONTHS to CONVINCE Jen that her flags are normal. She doesn't need an upgrade to the "aero" look... (BTW - I AM talking about her 964...?? )

Now - you come along - she will read your post - and I'll be "toast". You have NO IDEA how many times she's asked about upgrading her mirrors. I tell her the square flags are:
- A retro look.....

- The way Porsche designed the car - and THEY would know....

- The square mirrors have a better field of view....

- Adrian has square mirrors on his car.....

- John Miles has "flags"...

- That in a "panic stop", the flags will help her stop better...

- That the aero mirros will reduce the weight of the door, and therefore induce instability...

- That I'll have to repaint her entire car if I change the mirrors...

- That "square" is "stylish"....

However - she comes home tonite from work, and while in the garage and she is rinsing off her car from the salt and snow today - has the audacity to ask "Did you see Howard's post today about my mirrors???"

I lied - and said I missed it....

Thanks for the help....

Oh - if you find you are unable to post a reply to this thread - you should e-mail the Rennlist Admin.... I'm sure they will "hop right on it"....

Heh, heh......!!!!!

Seriously - while all the above may be true - Jen agrees with you... Dammitt....

burgass, Where did you get those brake vents? 9M? Have they made any noticeable difference or are they more for show? Either way they look great.

Thanks.
Actually Forklift,
That's my black RSA with the FM10s. I love my wheels, but they are a huge pain to keep clean. I'm sure there would have been some weight savings if I kept with the stock size, but I'm running 18x8 and 18x10 right now. I'm currently having one of the rims repaired at Fikse right now - so the car now has the red spare on the back!

If and when I recondition my wheels, I may go all polished. Those look nice.

Does anyone know what the speedlines weigh in 8 and 10 X 18. What about the Fiske? Which is lighter.

What is all this fuss about Fikse's wheels - I don't get it. IMO they look ugly on a Porsche, out of place and definitely aftermarket.

How can they even be remotely compared to the Speedline Cups?

ok, i'm confused. I was thinking of putting on some Race Black Fikse's on my car, but I have a used set of FM-10s.......so i thought, "oh Fikse will just refinish them for me" I just called them and they won't do that. they said i could buy new Race Black centers for $400 each. too bad!
has anyone gone through a wheel color change?

Why could you not get someone to powder coat. I bet it could be done for about $ 100.00 a piece.
