Just got back from NJ. My mom is going in a nursing home. She has given me her car, a 1963-1/2 Ford Faclon Sprint. She originally drove this car off the showroom floor. It is bone stock, 100% original. V-8, with lots of chrome, power steeing, wire wheel/spinner hubcaps (wow), am radio (!) tachometer, bucket seats, Ford-O-Matic 2 speed Xmission (whoo-hee!) glass pack exhaust. As a kid, ocassionally, I was allowed to borrow this car- A CHICK MAGNET!!!. Anyhow, as I considered the logistics of getting the car from N.J. to Missouri, I thought that mabey the easiest way would be to just drive it. The only concern is that the steereng feels "loosey-goosey" For any of you who are familiar with N.J., can anyone recommend a person / shop near the N.J. shore which may be competent to evaluate and/ or repair, if needed the front end and steering gear of such a primative car? This may turn in to quite an adventure ture for me!

Hi Horst
I have reworked several 60's vintage Fords and Chevy's I can tell you that you might be better off having the vehicle transported especially with the winter weather. Then you can replace the steering gear, balljoints, idler arm etc... at your convenience. Good Luck , Harpreet (90C4 Cab)
