Paint Question - Help Please
I always read that the 964 paint is a single stage paint without clear coat. I am planning to repair a couple of small blemishes and all the paint I see are base coat plus clear coat. I am new to the whole paint thing and I am wondering
- should I just use the base coat?
- can I feather in base and clear?
I have a couple of dings on a door from parking lots where people opened their door into mine.

Depends on the color. Non-metallic? Single stage. Metallic? Two part.

Chris is correct, most of the non metallic colors are single stage on the 964. Metallics are definitely clear coated.
Having said that I have touched up metallic paints using just the base coat without any issues. Buying a product like Langka helps with getting the finish to match and I would highly recommend it for touch up. It takes lots of patience.
