964 speakers

Where would you get front speakers for the 964's that only have one speaker in the doors like the RS America or the Speedster. Those suncoast speakers don't work since there are tweeters and woofers. Does Porsche have an upgrade kit for the single speaker scenario?

A guaranteed direct replacement would be a plus. I replaced all speakers with Rockford Fosgate (Infinity wasn't in the budget ) and it involved some extra work to fit the door speakers. From my own experience, the upper tweeters will be fine.
I'll wager that all the foam surrounds in stock cone speakers have disintegrated by now.
I went with a total stereo upgrade with a new head unit, power amp, powered sub, and all new speakers. It sounds great, but it was a lot of work.
As far as changing the door speakers, there's a thread on here somewhere that was very helpful. Replacing the rear deck speakers is about as straight forward as you can get.

Thanks A914MAN. Still not sure what I am going to do and really, in no hurry since, I enjoy the sound of the engine more than I enjoy listening. It's only when stupid hot out and I have to use the AC that I think about turning the radio on.

I wanted to spend $2500 on a new stereo, but that wasn't an option, so I set a $600 budget and I think I got a good sound for the money spent. The bluetooth integration is a big upgrade for music service and hands free phone

"Sound" like you did better since it was done for way less money. It seems to be so easy to spend over the top just to get mediocre. Spending wisely and getting what you want seems to be the real trick

I’m not sure if MB Quart still makes the lower door woofer but they are a perfect drop in for our cars. No cutting/resizing and they fit perfectly into the backing plate which holds the speaker cover. I was fortunate to find a used set for $50.00.
