I've had good experiences with chips. Nothhing is better than a custom chip though for the mods that you have.

Doug,
I have a Cyntex chip that I'm using. If you're interested, I'll sent it to you to test along with the others.

Doug,
Where are the dyno results? Inquiring minds want to know

Also, for what it's worth. I had an '86 targa. I did a chip, SSI exhaust & filter. It made a big difference. In fact, I out ran a friends '95 993. The exhaust on the Carreras & 964 cars was really inefficient (no new news there). Not equal length primaries & very restrictive. I think the exhaust change(preferably equal length headers) with a chip can make a decent difference. I doubt a chip change/reburn on a 993 would do near as much. Porsche improved the exhaust a bunch on those cars after the 993 & that's where a lot of the HP difference between the two came from. Anyway, dyno results! dyno results!
