Throttle Issue While Coasting Down Hills.....

During my brief research on owning a 964 - I did find some information that the CCU actually is involved with a feature that keeps the engine at just above idle when coasting downhill with clutch pressed. I understand it does this to keep heat working efficiently.

The other common cause for this problem can be resolved by retracking the AFM. And one suggestion for that, is to move the PCB a millimeter vertically and not adjust the arm (like all the Porsche web guides suggest), so that tension on the resistance track remains the same.
What is AFM and PCB?

Check that your idle switch is working. I had a similar issue a week ago when I installed some new Coco Mats. The drivers mat was slightly covering the bottom of the throttle pedal, so the idle switch wasn’t engaging. Moved the mat back, problem solved. Now I need to put some clips on the mat to keep them from moving forward again.

Hi, how can you easily check this switch?

No experience here but i guess the idea is to adjust the arm relative to the board along the axis of the shaft in order to force the contact into a wider arc on the track that has not been worn yet.
Testing the idling switch switch is easy. You locate the connector and remove it. It’s below the isv. Then check continuity between the appropriate terminals while operating the throttle by hand. Check the full throttle switch at the same time at the same connector. I can’t find a link at the moment....

Edit: Just check everything in these instructions while your at it. Thanks to Steve Wong!
