Default Beasty, an introduction

I’ve been lurking around for some time now and have sought advice on many topics. First, I would like to profoundly thank everyone here who have helped to foster my relatively new, insane 964 addiction.

I bought Beasty around the new year as a wonderful low mileage example which wouldn’t require much work, as I am most definitely the least capable RL’r yet. Below I will chronicle the journey to make her an individual and all mine.

Here she is today after a couple hour drive. She now has a ne KWv3 suspension, 1552 wheels and new rubber. Also, I have added the clear indicators and inside the Porsche Classic radio. So far my favorite mod is the $20 bumper plugs.

It is an insane addiction! Great start so far, especially fitting new suspension (I waited too long my first time around).

I hadn't even changed the oil on any car previous to getting my 964... months later, I was putting in new engine mounts, an alternator, and had my sunroof in and out of the car a couple times (all thanks to RL threads).

Looks awesome! Congrats and I hope the KwV3 install went well. Finally some driving weather here in the mitten!

How's the interior work coming? Still planning a color swap?

Hey Tim!

Yes, I’m going tan to black and soundproofing. I’m also getting Flat6 led headlights and smoking the fogs and rear taillights. I deleted the primary it has a nice little growl now. I’m also toying with graphics-I bought a couple different variations to try out.

Congrats on the new ride! She looks like a beauty and I love the new wheels, looks like she may need some lowering springs soon though

I’m not sure what it is about the 964 but they are insane addictions. My days of putting aftermarket components on cars stopped nearly 20 years ago and I hvaen’t really wanted to do it since.......but along comes the 964 and all of a sudden I can’t control myself. It’s madness!

Afshin,
Interesting you should mention aftermarket tastes. I am a 100% stock guy, and then all of a sudden, I’m doing mods like crazy on a car I have loved for 25 years-I find my own behavior in this regard a little odd. I’ve always been this purist, but now I love the Singers( and others) and even RWB’s !

BTW, I installed the KW v3. I set it a touch high and soft for starters. I will drive it for a bit before I decide to go lower/firmer. I want the lower look, but the roads in MI are generally bad.
