Can you look at the photos below and tell me if the carbon-fiber is from the factory? It's a 1994.
I was certain it wasn't until I pulled it out and noticed the back-side of the console insert was also hand-laid fiberglass/carbon fiber. I haven't seen another with a flared console like this. The leather-wrapped tunnel is on my options list and is OEM quality, but no mention of carbon fiber – was carbon fiber an option on the highest-end 964s?
Does anyone have a photo of what this console looks like stock?
Yes I have the factory shifter. Note how the console is "flared". The leather wrap is certainly OEM
Inside looks like the backside of the carbon box itself, which is what confused me
Hi,
I had this on my car, just delete it all recently ,
mine is a C4 , all the switch of the C4 were on the large steel plate , in your case replace by carbon , basicly this rare option was chose by owner who took the phone option on their cars , the phone hand set was placed where the casset is in other cars ( behind hand brake) the steel plate had the key board for dealing numbers , plus all the C4 switches and PDAS light .
I will try to dig a picture
I hope that helps
