As I was looking for a 964, I came across one in the Washington DC area. As luck would have it I was going to DC for business meetings and I figured I'd get the car PPI'd to see whether or not it was worth seeing the car in person. After researching Rennlist I decided to have this done at Chapman Auto Werks. Once the report came back indicating the car was in good condition, I decided to stop by Intersport to have a look at the car, I ended up driving the car back to NYC that weekend. The car drives out nice and really only needed new wiper blades. In any case I figured I'd share some pics. I've included some side by sides with my 991.2 just for the hell of it.
Beautiful car sir! Whats the carfax look like? Reason I ask is the front fenders are definitely a different shade than the doors.
Hi Ginch,
The Carfax was clean, however the car was originally Raspberry Red Metallic and was repainted Guards Red at some point in it's history. The repaint looks to have been done very professionally, as the door jams, engine compartment, inner trunk area and underneath the car are all painted Guards Red to a pretty good quality. Being in the car business I would rate the paint work as an 8 out of 10. All this was disclosed by the seller before the PPI. You are correct, in the photo the front fender appears to be a darker shade than the rest of the car. I think this is because of the vignette function on my photo editor. I've included some more professionally shot photos from the seller's listing where the fender is the same shade throughout.
