Help removing vent connected under dash
I’ve searched, but found nothing regarding this vent. Perhaps because no one has ever needed to remove it. It’s impeding a proper repaint of the interior, however, so I’d like to pull it out.
Ive tried pulling and twisting, but while there’s some movement it doesn’t want to dislodge. I really don’t want to break anything. Is there s simple method to remove this vent?
Thanks in advance.

If you are referring to the elbow shaped piece I believe you need to gain access to the other side it snaps into the suitcase to release it you need to slide a thin putty knife between it and the suitcase to release it then it should come straight down

I borrowed a couple of steak knives or paring knives or whatever my wife yelled at me later the day I did this - this is looking down from the airbox inside the frunk. The knifes are right at the spot were there are "latches" on the elbow and slots on the suitcase.

Thanks for the replies Guys, that confirms my suspicion and saved me from breaking something for sure. And mojorizing, those photos are really helpful explaining what’s going on inside there. I’m guessing that gaining access from above is a bit of work, and this project is already way upside down.
