Side sill (Rocker) paint help?
Can anyone please post a close up pic of original paint side sill / rockers so I can see where the factory put the transition from black to body colour?

John, I’ll try to get some of mine. It’s in the channel but along the panel and fin it’s not exactly even, though mostly covers the vertical portion of it at least.

Here’s a shot of the rear fin area and behind the rear tires on both sides. Looks to be the same cutline as Chris’s car.

Thanks guys. That's an easy line to paint in and it makes sense as looking down from the usual height it would appear clean even if Hans had too many Lowenbrau the previous night.

FWIW, when I did mine I used black Plasti-dip for the rockers. My car was black so it really was an easy transition. I like PD as it's easy to repair, and it is pretty durable.

John, I did this a while back. Easy stuff, plus freshens up the car a bit.
Usual approach. Tape, sand, wax and grease remover, light coats, dry, tape off, beer. Simples!

Thanks Tiaan, I'm using the Repco Bumper primer and Top coat products, then possibly covering with clear (not sure it will add any extra protection as I use the car over unsealed roads).
Based on your experience are those products up to it?

Prob don't need the clear. Its inevitable that it will chip, so keeping it simple means sprucing it up with a new coat every other year isnt a big deal.
