RS America Brake Calipers
Are the RS America brake Calipers, Front and Rear, different from a standard C2?
If so, do they match the Calipers on a Turbo or maybe a 993?
Thanks in advance
Thanks
John

The only change I know for the basic 964 C2 or C4 was the change from 2x44mm piston rear caliper w/ 63.8mmmm pads to the 4 piston mentioned above
RS used 36/44mm caliper w/ larger pads(132 vs 98mm) on 322xx32mm rotors front 30/34mm caliper on 299x24mm rotors rear.
Turbo used the same front as the RS but the rear was 28x299mm rotor w/ 30/34mm pistons(98mm pads)

Three very knowledgeable people responded although Bill is the stats man.
There are cosmetic changes to the caliper from early to late and the RSA uses the caliper without the cast raised lettering.

here is a stock RSA rear
There was a change in the seal design early on, I don't believe that any 964 were affected by that but it is possible that some '89s got the old design, nothing that affects RSA though

The caliper you posted has the lettering painted vs raised as I pointed out. Although the font is the older style. The early calipers have the PORSCHE lettering cast in place and then the face was sanded down after paint and then cleared. I have never seen a 964 after 1991 with the cast raised lettering unless it was replaced with an older unit.

Thanks for the info everyone.
I have a follow-up question.
How do I tell the difference between a pair of Front 964 (RSA) calipers, and a pair of rear calipers?
Are they very similar if not identical in shape and size?
Thanks
