Default Warped chain cover box

After resurfacing the cylinder heads 0.1mm I was going to remove the same amount on the chain boxes , but these are really warped, almost 1mm on the surface that goes towards the engine block.
What to do ?

Did they leak before? These are magnesium, so unless you could reinstate the coating I wouldn’t touch them.

I replaced mine with new, non-magnesium chain boxes....from Porsche....part numbers I show.
