Default Is this normal ??

After taking my C4 out last Thursday, having sat for two months, it turned over and stayed running the first time I triggered the ignition with the key (I was surprised). Well the weather is still nice here, so I decided to take it out again today. This time it took me 4 tries to keep it running (kept stalling). After that it wanted to stall every time I stopped, had a very erratic idle. Once the oil/engine warmed up, it was perfect. Is this normal ? Why would it not have done this on Thursday after sitting for two months ? Regards, Brady

Dear Brady,
You have to reset the DME when you leave the 964 for this long. The adaptive memory has become corrupted. The idle adaption is gone.

I had the battery disconnected prior to taking the car out (I was cleaning the front trunk and took everything out) I suppose disconnecting the battery would be the DME culprit. To reset the DME parameters, do I simply have to drive for at least 15 min. ? Regards, Brady

Dear Brady,
You let it idle for a couple of minutes and then yes go for a spirited drive and use as many rpms in as many gears as you can.
