I recently purchased and installed Jeff's used Bilstein HD shocks and H&R progressive springs (for the 965). I have been very pleased with the results. The ride is definately more stiff around town, but it is still comfortable. I would highly recommend this set up for your 964!

Another testimony from yet another satisfied customer.

They are truly VERY much for the street and moderate track use...they really transform the 964 from a luxury suspension for that "sporty" feel...no lie.

I will second that. The HD + HR RSA springs are great combinations for DE & Street. With good tires, 1G turns are now within control (G-Timer readings ).

I don't see alot of Koni shocks being used on the 964 with the H&R or Eibach springs. I wonder why? any feedback?

Koni no longer offer complete sturts for the 964. Only strut inserts are available. You will need to modify the existing Boge struts to take the inserts. It was too much of a hassle for me thus I went with the HDs.
