My 91 "cobalt blue" leather interior needed some freshening up. Went to leatherworld as always to get the dye which has never been an issue. Option sticker shows L908 paint (white) and PG interior which I thought was Cobalt Blue. After applying the dye it seems darker, maybe thought it needed to dry to lighten up. Long story short it is darker and obviously not matching the much brighter and lighter blue.

Is PG indeed Cobalt Blue or is that the carpet code which is a different shade then the leather. When I called they recommended buying a color match kit from them which seems like a lot of screwing around.

Anyone had luck dying their "cobalt" leather seats and where did you get the right color match.

Someone told me the dye had to be color matched using a matching kit. WTF -- why do they call it Porsche Cobalt Blue if it isn't
