putting a Sparco Rev2 in a 964 - does it fit and what do I need?
I have done a lot of searching and could use a little help.
I understand that the 964 has limited room to fit a seat. The Recaro Pole Position doesn't fit me. (shoulder harness holes are too low and my shoulders are broader than that seat comfortably allows.) The Sparco Rev2 is a similar style, and does fit me. I was planning on having a pair recovered, but am being encouraged to be sure they fit in the car first. Without actually having the seat, I'm comparing measurements to this and the pole position.
Sparco dimensions:
https://www.sparcousa.com/product/rev-ii-2017-2
Pole Position dimensions:
https://www.recaro-automotive.com/us...on-ng-fia.html
It looks like the sparco seat is:
30mm wider at the front near your knees where the seat flares out and the fabric wraps over. (1.2inches).
5mm broader at the shoulder.
24mm wider where the seat mount brackets attach.
So, would anyone mind looking at the space around their pole position and telling me where it is tight or how much more room you have? Or does anyone have this seat already that can tell me if this works or not?
Last question, for the lowest installation that still allows the used of sliders, I think I need:
recaro sliders
brey krause seatbelt harness http://www.ogracing.com/brey-krause-...at-belt-anchor
brey krause side mounts http://www.bkauto.com/R_9061_Side_Mo...o_p/r-9061.htm
Does anything short of floor mounting get me lower?
Thanks,
Matt

The seat is a cobra RSR. It has a narrow base and no shoulder restricting wings. It has harness holes in the base and harness lines go through the head rest bars when using a harness bar to guide them. The photo of the rail sliders is as standard. I use that on the passenger seat.

wow. you dropped that sucker onto the ground. The base fit between the rails, so you customized brackets to drop it. cool. I'm emotionally tied to the "style" of the rev or pole position. but if I can't make it work, this is a good option. looks retro. I am going to be upholster the center section of the seats in my family scottish plaid. So this could work as well...

The Rev 2 should fit fine. I've put an Evo 2 US in my 964 using the 9061 side mounts with Sparco sliders. Also as a another point of reference a Prov ADV will fit in a 964 with a full roll cage. All three are close in size. f you use the BR9061 side mount, you will want to have your shop drill a second hole on the rear of the side mount. That will get you lower in the car and a better rake to the seat. I wish they would just make these with a second hole/

I had a sparco evo2 in mine for a while. No problems. Was on Recaro runners and side mounts of unknown origin. It did sit a bit high for my tastes, but other runner and side bracket combos might be better:

If you really need to get some headroom without cutting the rails, have a look at Tillet's B6 Screamer. https://rennlist.com/forums/993-forum/1027960-tillet-racing-seats-installed.html
