Default Normal ride height?

Hi, New to 964's, just bought my first, a 1990 Carrera 2. When I got home and parked up I started looking over the car and thought that the ride height seemed a bit odd. I had noticed earlier when I went to collect the car , but it was half in/out of a garage and on different floor levels. it seems strangely high at the front and quite low at the rear, any thoughts on if this is normal or not. Others 964's seem to be more level. Help and advice would be appreciated, Thanks

A lot of gap on the front.

high on the front?

Seems to be a lot of space between tyre and body

What? Isn't this normal height for a 964?

Seriously though, your front is up a little higher than stock but not by much, Your rears are lower which looks to be bringing the fronts up a bit. Here's what looks like a pretty bone stock suspension setup for comparison.

My photos make it look better than it really Is, but from what you say, It's probably got new front springs and old tired rear. Probably old shocks too so maybe some new suspension needed. Any reccomendation for good, but not break the bank kit.

First look at what you have. Check for broken/worn parts.
If everything looks in good condition, have a geometry/height check/adjust.
Only after that can you determine if it suits your driving style, or needs modifications.
I would not jump in with new parts before establishing a good baseline.

Welcome!
I love pics, so here are a couple to show different suspension heights as my car has (slowly) evolved.

it seems strangely high at the front and quite low at the rear, any thoughts on if this is normal or not. Others 964's seem to be more level.
These cars should actually have a slight nose-down rake.

Your car looks similar to how mine looked (for years!) with the stock suspension.
This angle is similar to your first image: (one of the rear shocks was dead at this point!)

I finally replaced the stock suspension with the well-trusted Bilstein HD B6 shocks and HR Sport Springs. (I can't go much lower and still make it up the driveway...)

Racemor's 964 is in the background (Oak Green), it's one notch lower than my car and looks great!

For comparison, this is how a RS is step up:

Thanks 911 jets. Your car sits nicely. What did the oak green 911 have as a suspension set up to take it lower. The RS is pretty much the exact height I would go to. I believe they are -50mm under stock. But it looks lower.

One more quick round of comments and pics, and then I'll let the pros chime in.

My car sits OK, really it's set up like this to deal with my area roads and speed bumps.... (real world driving)
I think he used be on Bilsteins/HR but now might be using PSS9?
The RS just looks so mega and simple. It also looked so stable in the tight 2nd gear turns and walked away from me on 3rd gear sweepers!

These shots are at a better angle: (slight downhill parking lot)
