Default Euro bumpers vs American for 964

There was a thread somewhere - it was mentioned that euro bumpers are less deep than American bumpers by something like 2 inches. Is this true. Have we ever seen a euro car next to an American car to verify? Anyone in the uk care to post pics with a ruler?

Can’t verify anything other than the euro rs center section is a perfect match to my us spec bumper corners. I’d imagine the euro parts are the same

If I recall correctly, there are small rubber bumpers attached to the impact beam that need to be trimmed. Also, a new tow hook hole will need to be drilled into the impact beam to match up with the RS bumper.

All the center parts align with the side parts when assembled. The center part has 3 versions: Euro, RS and US.

How about the front bumper. Can we have a member in Europe measure and show some picks ?

I’m not talking about bumperettes...distance from the tail light out to the end in the rear, and from the rubber trim to the end in the front.

I think they have the same depth and same sculpting. I remember a thread where someone shorted the bumper shocks to pull the bumpers in a bit...

Comparison pictures from a recent group drive. Not the exact same angles, but if a difference exists, it should be noticeable:

The standard (and RS Touring) european front bumper is the same (part number) as the USA/CAN front bumper with holes for the headlamp washers.

Correction from my post above: the US and RS rear center parts do protrude more than the std euro one, while still fitting the same side parts.
