fan housing strap
I ordered a new fan housing strap, Part number was 964 106 251 20. This is for a 1990 C2, My original is two piece and what a got was a one piece
Is this the correct replacement? Does it just go around the old mounting areas? |
That's the turbo strap, you want 964.106.017.01

Thank you Jason

If you have the old Windows based PC version of PET6 you can save yourself a ton of headaches by ignoring the online part websites. I don't trust any of them to have the correct numbers.

Tried to download it but it wont run on my computer (windows 10)
|
Windows7 is the newest OS that I've installed it on but I have heard of a few people running it on v10.
|
I cannot get it to run on my machine either. Says not compatible with my version of Windows, which is Windows 7. : (
|
Did you run the setup executables in compatibility mode?
|
I managed to get a PET from Porsche, all 700 something pages of it
|
The parts catalogs are all available from Porsche in PDF form.

The Pet6 Windows program tries to install a zip server which is incompatible with windows zip service in Windows 7, 8 and 10. Maybe if you disable windows zip service it might work.
The biggest downside of the PDF pet is its not searchable as its all bit mapped images (may be getting confused with workshop manual...). Wondering if anyone could do a character recognition scan on it. |

How do I run "compatibility mode"? Was that an option in the setup that I missed? Thanks !!!
