Honesly - we're in differnent markets - I HAVE to have AWD - and want to spend less than I should.

Yoiu seem to be sane about this and will spend the extra $$$ to get the "right" car.

There was that black 90 that seems to have disappeared from the AT - did you look at that?

JoeW - Nail my hands to the table - that's classic! Thanks - you guys are really helping. It's tough love - but I honestly appreciate it.

I've told the seller I can't proceed. It's a real shame - he's leased it - owes a ton for it (buyout) and it's worth next to nothing. Such a sad fate. I will try to follow the outcome and will let everyone know what happens to this car.

Thanks for the help guys - hope to be back soon WITH a sorted 964.

For now - I'll keep sorting out my S2 and searching for the "right" 964.

Here's the end of the story - the CO was offered $23K (CDN) trade-in value for this car - so he's trading it in. NOt sure to where - but I've asked - just out of curiousity.

Someone, somewhere is about to enter a world of P-Car hurt, or take a serious bath.

Glad it's not me. Thanks for everyone's help on this quest!

i thot the car was 18k?! why was it sold for 23k?

I had him down to 20 k - but he managed to get 23 on trade - so good for him - good for me (I'm no longer temtped!) but prolly bad for the dealer or thier customer.

I'm happy to be free of the temptation!
