Default WTB - 6X16 964 rims

I'm looking for four 6X16 (or two sets of two) 964 Rims. If anybody has upgraded their 964 front rims, and would like to sell their old narrow rims, please let me know. I prefer the Cup rims, but D90 would work too.

PM me with the details and price.

Vaino, I've got a set-2-6" fronts & 2- 7" rears w/good SO-2's? from my '91 C2 that I may part with. Trouble is I've just had some knee surgury and I'm not too mobile(yet ). If you don't find what you need, I may be able to hobble out there & take a few e-pics by the weekend.
I, too am in the dark as to value as well. Perhaps some Rennlister has a feel for the value??

Bill,

Thanks for the quick response. I'm not in a hurry as there is snow up here, and my car is parked for the winter. Oddly, I'm home today as well with a injured knee too! It wouldn't the left one also?
I don't know on pricing either. I would prefer four 6x16s as the stock Autocross class I'm in won't allow for larger rims than factory. I've got a '87 924S, and the 6x16s are the largest factory rim. The S-02 sound nice thought. When you knee is better, drop me a Private Message with some pictures and an guessestimate on price.

Thank You,

Vaino-

I'm very curious about your choosing a 924S to use for Autocross and maybe more??? I've been exploring getting a 924S for the past few months for Autocross and DE, etc... and I'm curious about your experience with the car in that role.

Personally, I've used my '91 C2 for Autocross and some Driver's Ed, but I came to the realization that I didn't want to afford a blown motor or worse as I get further into racing. So, I'm looking at the 924S as the weekend toy and keep the C2 for everyday.

Regardless, thanks for your response!

CKKrause,
I choose the 924S after reading the articles here, and talking to a number of Autocross folks in PCA. I too wanted a low cost, fun weeken toy. My Turbo is really a show car, and it would be a shame to bounce cones off of it.
The 924S has great bang for the buck. Its the 944 drivetrain, in a lighter/slimer body. They have rung up a long history of wins in Autocross over the years. I can't tell you yet how it is on the track or in autocross from first hand experience. I just bought the car after the season, with the intend of tweeking it over winter, and hitting the track in the spring. Right now the prices are rock bottom. I located an option delete '87 car (no sunroof, rear wiper, manual cloth seats), with just 60K for $3K. Original owner car, with all the maintanance up to date. It is also too nice to track. The thing is a ball to drive. It feels very light. Driving back to back with my '86 turbo, it feels like a featherweight. I'm putting on the 968 M030 bars, and Koni Sports all around. I'm doing any improvement that are legal in my "stock" class.

Vaino-

You're speaking my language!!! That is a very good deal for a 924S based on what I've seen. I guess I just need to be patient... Also, I imagine the owners don't see the benefit of option delete... Anyway, I'll look forward to hearing about your success next year out here on the left coast!!!

Vaino, Yes, it's my clutch foot!

Default Yes, on the photos

Hopefully your clutch knee will be better. When you get a chance, I would be interested in the photos of the rims.
