a C2 no matter how low mile and how clean it is just a C2. while production number is low, it will never be a collectable per se.
thats why we cut them up!

300% increase in prices for a "regular" C2 manual. in 2-3 years.
what does it take to be viewed as collectible? 1000%?

Other than the sunroof delete, does anyone know what are the exact differences between the Japanese cars and the US cars?

Engine, suspension?

I see most of the Japanese cars have the cup wheels as well

a singer is not a 964
it 's based off a 964, every panel except the door has been changed. the engine redone with different displacement, gearbox changed to 6 speed, interior revamped, suspension either KW or ohlin... it haw NOTHING to do with 964c2 anymore.

964 price increase in recent years is an anamoly and likely will not continue. i have had 7 964 in last 2 years. they are not collectables.

given enough time everything is collectable
early are 40+ years old, yes, when 964 are that old, perhaps collectable.

a CGT 12 year old is collectable today

most long hood are that collectable. 70-73T or E are nice, but not collectable. a 70-73S is collectable, but they were NOT collectable for a long time. price jump recently and have been stagnant at 200-250k for really original cars. will it go up more? not in the short term. but by 2040, they could well be $1mm cars. with that kind of time horizon, just about anything is collectable.

I figured a difference with ROW Japanese cars would be a distinct Marlboro or Camel fragrance.
