Default Do new Porsche driveshafts need grease added?

I’ve just bought a new Porsche driveshaft. The inner joint is quite stiff and the outer joint is a bit notchy. Both are less fluid than the existing joints I repacked.

While pondering this I recalled a post some time back that new driveshafts need to be repacked with grease. Is this true? It seems counterintuitive that a Porsche part isn’t ready to use out of the box.

They're ready to use out of the box, just stiff because they're not broken in yet. They actually don't require that much grease, people tend to overfill them.

Thanks for the reply. I’ll install the driveshaft as is.
