My manual transmission has a small leak that I'm having a tough time sourcing. The leak appears to be coming from the top of the transmission towards the rear (engine side.)
I cleaned the transmission and changed the gear oil to make sure I wasn't misdiagnosing the the location of the leak or mistaking it for engine oil. After a short drive, I felt around the top of the transmission and it definitely seems like the source of the leak is on the top of the trans somewhere.
Does anyone know if there is an inspection plate or something else up there that could be leaking?
Thanks!

Ah! I didn't see that on previous diagrams but I see what you're talking about now. Does anyone know if this takes an O ring or if it's installed with thread sealer of some kind?

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but what was the corrective action for your leak from the breather valve? I seem to have developed a similar leak myself after replacing my transmission fluid.
