Speaker change question -
I'm replacing the speakers in my 964. The PO had eclipse speakers with this crossover:
Any idea how to get it out? It seems to be glued to the door. I don't think it is screwed on as that would put screws to the exterior of the door. I could leave it but it would bug me. Thanks.

Probably used double sided tape.
Keep in mind you have or had a factory crossover attached on the inside of the door panel. When wiring in new speakers make sure to use the 2 wire source not wires off the factory crossover for the speakers.
Previous owner of one of mine wired in a new 2 way that fit in factory 5" hole but used the woofer output from the factory crossover. The new speaker sounded muddled with no highs as a result.

I took off the door panels.
I took off the door panels. It's more involved, and requires only a low level of mechanical skills.
Marc Shaw's thread made it much easier.

The factory crossover is cleverly hidden in the armrest, and IMHO a good place to put a replacement, if it fits.
The Rockford Fosgate speakers I used have built in crossovers, and you connect the tweeters to the woofers.
