Lock nuts ?
Where can I find these all metal lock nuts that the factory uses? These are not the conical style. Belmetric doesnt show them, nor does McMaster-Carr. Also tried Metric Specialties. There must be a source.
Lots of them on my 964. Mainly M6

Back when I bought a ton of fasteners I used Metric & Multistandard Components Corp and Spaenaur. And unlike the run of the mill hardware store yellow-zinc fasteners, you could buy them with coatings that are even thicker than what Porsche specs.

I see this group may be the supplier, or one of them..

The "FS All Steel Lock Nut" or, for you German speakers, the "FS-Ganzstahl-Sicherungsmutter" !!
Maybe I can locate a distributor...
I know my local shop would buy a bunch if they were at a good price.
EDIT: I found them at https://eu.shop.bossard.com/ch/de/, which is a distributor for Flaig-Hommel, but even there they work out to about 65 Euro for 100 count of M6. Amazing. These are not inexpensive nuts.

That pricing is getting more reasonable. But if I buy 200 M6 and maybe 100 M8, for multiple projects, it adds up.

Decided to order the OEM M8 nuts (23 ea) since these are crankcase nuts. I could use some extra M6 nuts (maybe 25 to 50?) as I'm sure I've kicked a few around the garage floor. Have any of you gents ordered from any of the above mentioned sources & are satisfied (i.e.closest duplicates the OEM's) ?

I ended up ordering from rmeuropean, link above. I took them to the platers and had them plated with another batch of bits. These are OE quality if not the very same the factory uses.

Bel-Metric has done that but there is still a 10x markup over the suppliers I linked to above. That's definitely better than the 100x markup from PAG and you don't have minimum order quantities but it's still outrageous, especially when you realize how many M6 and M8 nuts are used on a 964.
