Question problem with tablecomputer...

I have a strange problem with the tablecomputer in my '91 C4.

The problem is that the display for the average speed seems to never stop. If I reset it when I start driving it seems to be normal, but when I stop the car it seems that the average speed keeps going so when I start the car again it says that the average speed is 0. The average fuel consumption also shows wrong, but I guess it's because of the same reason...

I tried to disconnect the battery, but that did not change anything.....

Do anybody have any sugestion on what the reason for this stupid problem is? Maybe how to reset the tablecomputer?

The temperature and speed shows right so it's not all crazy....

Sorry for my bad english

Hopefully I have not misunderstood you, but I think this sounds completely normal. If I drive my car and then stop, the average speed starts to go down as you would expect as I am not actually going anywhere. LIkewise with fuel consumption, if you are standing still then of course you are getting 0 mpg - you are using gas but not going anywhere.

As I say, hopefully I have not misunderstood!

Christer.

My explanation was maybe not good. But what happens is when I stop the engine and leave the car the average speed still keeps counting.... I know it should not be like this because it wasn't that a few months ago...

But thanks anyway!!

Harald
