Oh - oh........ You have a problem - or will.....
I think you're right. I don't have my car again today.......

I decided I couldn't face the Clio again though so used my bike.

One question - the Clio is sometimes tricky to get into 1st & 2nd gear. I'm assuming gearboxes are pretty much the same everywhere - so if I reported this with my 964 what would peoples opinions be? Knackered gearbox? Or clutch (I assume not, since it would affect all gears)? I was thinking I might try changing the gearbox oil as a starting point. I need to get it fixed - I will NOT be in the "I need to take your car darling because of my gearbox problem" situation!

Dave, what is this....??? 'WHo wants to drive those cars??" My job is drive a lot of them every day as a Service manager to testdrive them after service and repairs in a Opel Dealership [Vauxhall is a GM part]
The cars drive nicely, but only for ordinairy people with kids and a dog, traveling to the shopping Mall and to grand ma and grand dad.

We are all spoiled.................
They sold far over a million of them.

Arjan,
You're right - we are spoiled. The one good thing about driving that car was it made me realise just how good my 964 is. Sometimes, you forget.

...sometimes tricky to get into 1st & 2nd gear
Could be something as simple as gear linkage alignment or a knackered bush on the linkage...

Dave.

Anyone interested in my Aircooled Giants Group Test: 993RS V 2CV?
