Default new member says hello

Hi After being an avid reader and fan of the 964 forum for quite a while I became a member tonight. I have been a Porsche fanatic since my teen years (almost to long ago to remember) and currently have a 944 that just sits in the garage. I started out with a 914, then 924 and have had the 944 for about 12 years. I always wanted a 911 but just was never quite able to work it out. Now I have seriously decided that it is time and have been reading this forum to gather information to make a somewhat intelligent decision when I am in the position after the first of the year. I have decided the 964 is in the price range and suites my needs. You guys and gals seem like a great bunch and I look forward to this adventure. Yes I have already ordered Adrians book and can't wait to get it. I feel fortunate to have stumbled across this forum and to have access to the wealth of knowledge that Adrian and all the other members and users offer. Thanks and I look forward to being a part of rennlist.

Welcome and you're not gonna regret this decision ever! I've had my '91 since '94 and still love it, It's good to have a car where the GO pedal actually works.

Dear Mamsp,
Glad to have you with us. Seeing as you have ordered my book I can tell you that there is a very extensive buyers guide. I feel you will find this very useful in your search.
Good luck,
Ciao,
Adrian

ARGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG GGGGGGGGGGGGGGG

The Boggster is now a school prefect!

We're all sunk (unless we own radiant red cars and are nice to him). What was John D thinking? That new 993 of his must have rendered him temporarily insane.

Oh, and welcome mamsp - I doubt you'll regret buying a 964 and I wish you well with your search, let us know if we can help

Welcome mamsp. Half the fun of buying a 964 is the search.

And now is a good time to find one. Although for JoeW he might have trouble test driving one with today's snow and more to come this weekend

Ahh, yes. Winter in New England. With all the snow we get, you'd think the locals would get a clue on how to drive. I'm sure investlt saw the same thing I did: a 40 minute drive that took the better part of two hours because all of my 'neighbors' were driving like they'd lived their whole life in Florida rather than in ski country. What a joke -- 1/2-inch of flurry and the world stops.

And yeah, I'm not sure what this will do to the need for a test drive .... have to think about that -- maybe a reason to extend my search somewhat South! J
