Default AC Compressor Mounting Bolts

I was cleaning up the engine bay and noted a couple of minor things that I need to address.

I noted that none of the three long bolts that hold the AC Compressor in place have the nuts installed. All three can be pulled out which I assume is not normal since all three are threaded. Can anyone confirm if the M8 lock nut is the correct nut for these? Also are these torqued down or just snugged down?

I also noted a rubber bushing between the air filter housing and aluminum cas engine which was sheared in half. Is this the throttle housing mount?

The bolts have special (thick) square nut. Part number 964 126 311 00. There are four nuts on PET

As for the rubber bushing, there is one on each end of the air box. Part number 930 110 579 01

John thank you very much for this, greatly appreciated! I'll get everything ordered up today. Pelican must love me, I've been making weekly orders for small parts as I work through the restoration. Knock on wood the big stuff is all in great condition and working properly!

We should make a point to ask for a ride in one of Wayne's 959's next time we see him as I feel we have now helped pay for its maintenance.

Yes, $9.50 per nut!!!

Unfortunately I'm OCD with my parts so I just pay up to have the right fasteners

I saw the price and immediately tried to find the OEM version, unfortunately it doesn't exist.

Here are the fasteners for the AC bracket, before I had them replated. Those square nuts are $6.44 from Sunset. 964 126 311 00

Also, be certain you have the brace that runs from the compressor to the area right by the breather housing. It looks like this.

Without that brace, the engine/compressor combination reportedly hits certain harmonics that will shake the compressor significantly and it doesn't end well.

Robert thanks for the tip regarding Sunset, I haven't ordered the parts yet so I will definitely give them a shot and I have bought from them in the past for my Spyder.

I also looked at the compressor again this evening and the brace is securely installed. Ironically the bolt that holds the brace to the compressor is the only one that seems to fully secure (fortunately).

Do I need to use loctite on the square nuts to keep them from falling off again?

Looks like 964-126-128-02 to me, which is superseded by 993-126-128-00.

No Loctite required. Just torque the bolts to 17 ft-lbs.
