I've found a set of 964/944 17 inch Ruf Speedline wheels for sale in the RL parts marketplace (current posting). I'd really like to have them for my 964. My internal alarms are going off telling me scam. I've had several PMs with seller. Neither of us have much history with RL. I asked for email address to send PayPal and it comes up to an address for a woman in Kansas instead of an RL user in Port Huron, MI. Any suggestions to settle this? I need the wheels shipped to my mechanic in Illinois. I have the funds ready to go.
A google image search from the marketplace ad produces multiple results with the same background table set, all located in the Netherlands through the Wichers Porsche site (Wichers is an NL-based wheel reseller). Below is an example.
It's possible the seller purchased the wheels from the NL and is just reusing the original photos. But I'd be suspicious and suggest a moderator take a look.

Talking about Frankdacosta a.k.a Alanpitt93, right?
Ask him for his pictures of the wheels, not pictures he found on the internet.
Also ask him why he claims to be located in Port Huron MI on RL, Santa Clara CA on watch forums, Coppell TX on motorcycle forums, or why he is listed as a scammer on air guns forums
I am sure he has a good explanation for all of this
Just wanted to say thanks to the listers who came through today in keeping me out of a jam with a potential swindler. I trust my radar but it was great to have the input from so many with more experience than me. Guess I'm gonna have to be patient for a set of speedlines or cups.
