weird hic-up
Had a stange one last night with my '93 C2
Had been driving the car really hard for around 150 miles of fast bumpy moorland roads . Coming through a village near the end of my run, coasting in 2nd on a slight downhill at around 28 mph , pressed the acceleartor very slightly to keep the car at that speed and the engine didn't respond. Pressed a bit more & it felt like it was going to cut out ... then all of a sudden it coughed and awy it went.
Only thing I know had happened at some point between my last stop & that happening was my lhs dipped beam fuse blew .. but that is probo a coincidence.
What I was wondering was can the AFM stick ?
Wether it was just me imagining it , but for the last 15 miles of teh drive the car did feel like it ran better after this hiccup ??
Any ideas ?

AFM : air fuel meter
Engine didn't actually cut out, but felt like the throttle had opened but no fuel was being added ( it might not be this, just that's what it felt like)

DME relay would be the first thing to check. Happened twice to me, oddly, when coming down a gentle slope. Almost like the car was slightly fuel starved, a little shudder. Thought the engine would cut out, but it didn't.
Replaced the DME relay, no issues. That was three years ago.

As noted, the Bosch Air Flow Meter and another possibility the Fuel Pressure Regulator.

I've been getting something similar to this and seems to be getting worse. Also getting a slight misfire so will be changing to a 993 coil pack as a precaution. DME and O2 sensor already replaced to no avail. Junking the whole intake system for a Rothsport intake in a couple of weeks so probably not worth investigating whether it's an AFM issue for me.
