New 944's - where was tool roll + air compressor for delivery ?
Question for the group.
Where -- upon purchase of a new 944 circa 1986 -- was the air compressor and tool roll?
(in the spare tire well? or in the side wells? or on top of the rear carpet?
Anyone have a pic or Porsche image from the 80's? Trying to settle a concours judging debate here... Thanks.

Three Wheelin'
the '84 I ordered out and took delivery new had the tool roll AND the air compressor ( old style for series one cars --- the yellow and black cardboard box ) stowed in the inside area of the spare wheel house and resting on the ring of the rim.
My '86 Touring Pkg. 944 Normal came to me with the plastic housing boxed compressor stowed in the right wheel compartment and the tool roll on the rim of the spare. The plastic visqueen sheeting for road side changing of the tire was placed under the rear carpet on top of the sound deadener. And the roadside safety triangles were in the left rear wheel arch. The car had been used for Concours it's entire life and had extremely low miles on it, and was in near flawless condition upon purchase.
Hope this helps
