Default lowest original miles '86 944 Turbo?

Wondering who has the lowest original miles '86 944 Turbo on this forum. The reason I'm asking is that recently my mother came to possession of such a car. It was driven rarely and in storage for the last 10 years. it has fairly low miles. Wondering how it compares to all other in this community.

Thanks....and yes I will reveal the mileage

Yes !!!

Pretty sure I have seen this car before, as we spoke about this very car not all that long ago. It has a pretty early serial number as well, does it not ?

As a teaser can you confirm the color ?

This'll be a hard one to determine.

As a general rule I don't believe the mileage on any 1986 944. Those odometer gears...

Mine I got with 77k km (48k miles) but I don't for one second imagine it's true.

That IS IT !

Remember talking with me behind your car at our Porsche's in the Park show ? You told me some of the reasons the mileage was so low...... love your car. As many did ! ( truthfully I don't think I have ever seen a turbo with those number of options on it. I won't say any more, but will let you tell the story )

I took a few photos of it that day; thanks for showing it here. Thanks for sharing your story !

Got mine with 37k miles about 2 and a half years ago. Has almost 46k now. All documentation since new to prove it. How many mikes are on that red 951? Looks awesome!

There was a white with cancan red interior on CL last year that I think had <40k miles on it.

Mine has a little over 48,000 and all the Carfax, receipts, past eBay ad and Excellence magazine seem to indicate it. It has the early sunroof motor assembly, etc. so I think it is an early 86 perhaps. I am fourth owner, doctor who had it before me had it for years and only put a few thousand miles on it, tires looked lime new but were a decade old.

But low miles don't seem to cut down on repairs, blown head gasket right now, my fault I am sure

Purchased my Alpine White 86 944 Turbo last year with 39.6K, just rolled over 40K. It's the 4th vehicle in the stable at present so will likely see 1000-2000 miles a year max (?).

On my end, I figure that's enough to keep the miles down but still drive the heck out of it. I take it out every weekend when I'm at home.

I saw a black one last year at the Monterey concurs that had 18,000 miles on it. It was basically a brand new 30 year old car. The guy had just bought it. Went to a dealer to buy a 928 and the salesman told him "you have to see what just came in". He bought the turbo instead. In case you were wondering...it finished 2nd to a turbo S.

My 87 now has 24k and change on it and plan many more. I wonder what lays ahead for the automotive hobby in the next 15-20 years and if low mileage will mean that much when the car as we know it becomes affected by legislation. I'm thinking it's more fun to enjoy it while it lasts.
