Default Strut gas reservoirs in the engine bay?

I have a set of Moton Clubsports with remote reservoirs on my mostly-track 968, and I currently have the front reservoirs mounted inside the wheel wells. Some time ago, I saw a picture of a 944 with its front reservoirs attached to its strut tower brace in the engine compartment. While this would be desirable from an accessibility standpoint, it seems that this is too hot of a location for the reservoirs. Anybody with remote strut reservoirs mount theirs anywhere in the engine bay? If so, do you have any concerns about the heat? Also, how did you route them into the bay? A somewhat obscure question, I know, but hopefully somebody has some experience with this. Thanks.

I have Motion Controls, I mounted the remote canisters below the headlights.
I can reach them to make adjustments if I raise the lights. Barely, it's a tight fit to reach in there, but in fairness I wear XXL gloves.

I think in the engine bay, but behind the firewall is a fairly popular spot to mount them. Easily accessible, and isolated from the majority of the heat in the engine bay. Ive seen pics of a couple of cars like that.

Thanks for the quick and very helpful replies.

Dave - I've converted my pop-ups to fixed, so I don't think your solution will work for me.

944Crazy - That looks like the perfect solution, and one that I had wondered about - thanks for the clear picture - this is the route I'm going to go.

I've autocrossed and tracked (DE) my 968 a few times and I'm hooked. I don't want to increase power because I know it's not cost effective, but rather I want to install a great suspension and be done with it.

The car is all stock, with the exception of M030 sway bars. I see a lot of people use the KW v3, but this is the first thread I'm reading where folks have used Moton or MCS suspensions. Can you please provide feedback on the latter two systems? Which versions are you running?

I drive to the ax and track venues, and drive on public roads when it's not snowing out, so the suspension needs to handle broken pavement well, and then shine on the track. I read the KW V3 has valving that removes some of the crashiness of broken roads, but what about Moton and MCS?

This car will never be a full-blown track car and I'd like to do this just once. I am willing to budget as much as $3k.

Looking forward to reading your feedback!

I mounted mine similarly to 944 Crazy, keeps them clean and away from the engine heat.

I have the MCS dampeners 2 way adjustable with reservoir. The Motons and MSCs are similar as they were designed by the same people. There are several out on the market, you just need to do your due diligence to insure they are what you need for your application.
