I was talking about the older 8-cylinder Ferrari, like 328 NOT 348. No, under $300 for a complete clutch assembly. Check with the guys at

www.ferrarichat.com

The link works fine for me.

I've been using my 88 as a daily driver for almost 2 years, and it's wearing a little thin. I'd figured with a new clutch, rebuilt engine at 89k miles, koni rebuilt front shocks, new brakes all around that I'd be pretty set. Now it needs a steering rack, I'm sure it'll be something else. Then again, it's paid and except for the engine has still been cheaper than a new car.

I agree with some other folks - you *can* have a 951 for reliable daily transport. But it's not going to be cheap.

Good thread.

I drive mine daily. It's been less than the Boxster was.
Boxster monthly lease payments:
Boxster 600 x 36(3 years) = $21,600.

951 3 years - say $6,000 in NECESSARY repairs over 3 years. AND I own it.

You have a tough decision. Sounds like your car should be alright now.

But....a new tranny at that mileage? That's just not normal!

Engine rebuild at that mileage?

Anyway...anything else should be cheaper...at least for a while.

Are you using a good shop?

Good luck with it.

Try to enjoy it.
